this word basically stands for the fact that sexuality is fluid, and everybody has their own- no one word, or dozens of words is enough to classify that. i identify completely with that concept, but i usually cannot be bothered to explain it to people, when the majority of even the queer community is still responding to pansexual as “what, you’d jump anything that moves?” or something along those lines. i do feel however, that tumblr should now, because so many of us around here are struggling with our sexuality and can’t seem to put our finger on it, well tumblr, i think we’re pansexual.
